The US Deputy Agriculture Secretary Michael Scouse said that the opportunity to guard food price stability is good for both countries' interest and also for the world.

He also said that both governments have talked about investment and new technology in agriculture sector.

He added that Indonesia will keep becoming US important trade partner as trade in food and agriculture products of both sides has been increasing significantly in the last 15 years.

Scouse said that every $1 million-export of Indonesia's agricultural products to the US market can create about 8,400 jobs in the United States.

Indonesia's Vice Agriculture Minister Bayu Krisnamurthi said that the country and the United States will promote technology development and cooperation to develop agricultural application.

"It aims to respond global food issue," he said.
