Bengali New Year

As in China the Bengali's have their own calendar, which starts around April 14th and coincides with many other Asian calendars. In the streets around Dhaka University in Bangladesh, families turn up in their thousands to celebrate together with traditional music, face painting and a parade down Kazi Nazrul Islam Ave.
