Qatar's consul came under fire in Pakistan

DOHA - An unknown gunman in Pakistan's southern city of Karachi opened fire at a car carrying Qatar's consul, Qatar's official news agency said, adding no injuries were reported.

The agency said robbery was the apparent motive behind the Saturday attack. It said the attacker tried to open the car door, then fired shots from his pistol at the car, which was also carrying two diplomats from Oman and Kuwait.

The agency said no one was wounded in the attack.
