The 50-million-yuan ($7.6 million) aid is aimed to alleviate the pressure of Tunisian and Egyptian governments brought by lingering refugees from their neighboring country Libya, the MOC said in a brief notice on its website.

Of the aid, $2 million in cash is for Tunisia and $1 million for Egypt, said the notice.

About 30.3 million yuan ($4.6 million) worth of materials, including food, tents, blankets, medicine and electric generators, will be sent to Tunisia.
