The Cessna small aircraft went missing after it left for a mission to monitor the country's coca-growing area north of the capital of La Paz.

Because the plane went down in a deep forest, it took two days for the rescuers to finally get to its wreckage. Bolivian authorities said it appeared that the aircraft had hit a tree.
