UN chief calls for stopping police operations in Syria

UNITED NATIONS - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon Wednesday called for an immediate cease of all military operations and mass arrests in Syria during a phone conversation with Syrian President Bashar Assad, said a statement released late Wednesday night by his spokesperson.
