A homeless man found a creative and secretive place to live: inside the Manhattan Bridge. Once police got word of it, however, his secret home was exposed. Chinese American Joe was removed and his shelter between the beams of the bridge destroyed by New York Police, April, 2014. Living in a coffin-sized room which he had built with board, Joe has drawn public attention to the status of immigrants in the US. He has been relocated to a nearby community centre.
