Zhang Kun (center), acting curator of the Bethune Memorial House National Historic Site of Canada, introduces two historical relics to audiences at the TV show Hua Yu Zhi Men trip to Canada on Sept 20 in Markham. One is Dr. Henry Norman Bethune's autograph letter to his niece while another is Bethune's authentic painting. Being a battlefront surgeon, promoter of public health care, inventor and artist, Dr. Bethune is most famous for the last two years of his life which were spent in China, serving as a surgeon and teacher 75 years ago.
