New Jersey table tannis player wins medals at AAU Junior Olympic Games

Ray Huang, 15 from New Jersey, won the silver medal for under 16 boy's single table tennis event at the 50th Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Junior Olympic Games held in Houston, Texas. The games ended on Aug 6.

Huang also won silver medal with his teammate Kaixin Jiang in the under 16 boy's double. He and his team won the gold medal in the under 18 boy's team event. He was very excited to win three medals in the AAU games and said that he wanted to make progress in table tennis.

Huang has won multiple AAU Junior Olympics medals. Huang's coach Bochao Li is from the prestigious New Jersey Table Tennis Club in Westfield, New Jersey. Li is a well-known strong player in table tennis community. He won the championship of 2015 Arnold Table Tennis Challenge.

More than 15, 000 athletes and coaches competed for the gold medal over 12 days in this premier AAU event, and more than 30,000 spectators watched the events. AAU Junior Olympic Games is the largest national multi-sport event for youth in the United States. And it is being seen as an important step stone for all the aspired future American Olympians.
