US products in the spotlight at CIIE
Among the countries and regions participating in this event, the United States has a large presence with more than 180 companies, behind only Japan and South Korea. Major US companies in attendance include Johnson & Johnson, DuPont, Qualcomm and Microsoft.
US company 3M is showcasing a variety of new products and solutions, including some of their latest technology. Products on exhibition include its brand new intelligent Vehicle Air Purifier system, and the newly-launched PM2.5-protection respirators designed specifically for kids between 7 and 12 years old.
Mars, another exhibitor from the United States, is showcasing its full product portfolio ranging from pet food to confectionery items. Its Mars Wrigley business is also using this occasion to launch its KIND brand in China, which offers snacks packed with nutritional value.
The company says as China is a very important consumer market, it will aim to provide a portfolio that meets the evolving needs of Chinese consumers.
US carmakers such as Tesla, Lincoln and General Motors are also participating in the ongoing CIIE. Michigan-based General Motors is showcasing cutting-edge technology and innovative concepts that underpin its global vision of zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion.
