China power generation up 13.5% in H1

BEIJING - China's power generation rose 13.5 percent from a year earlier to 2.22 trillion kilowatts-hours in the first half of this year, the National Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday.
In June alone, China's electricity output reached 396.8 billion kilowatts-hours, up 16.2 percent year-on-year, according to the NBS.
