BEIJING - The presidium of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political advisory body, met Tuesday in Beijing to prepare for the upcoming annual session.
The meeting discussed and approved a draft agenda of the fifth annual session of the 11th CPPCC National Committee, which is expected to be adopted at the 16th session of the Standing Committee of the 11th CPPCC National Committee, to be held in late February.
The CPPCC National Committee's annual session usually opens in early March.
The meeting also examined and approved the work report of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, and examined a slew of written reports, including a report on the Committee's foreign exchange work in 2011, and one on CPPCC members' inspection tours in 2011, said a statement released after the meeting.
The meeting was presided over by Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.
