Group dancing, or guangchangwu, is a favorite pastime for middle-aged and retired women in China who find it a good way to keep fit and socialize. However, it's also seen as a nuisance by nearby residents exposed to amplified music blaring out to accompany the choreographed dancing on a nightly basis.
Women holding toy guns dance to a revolutionary song during their exercise at a square outside a shopping mall in Beijing, June 29, 2014. About 30 local residents formed the "Nanguan" art group that performs to revolutionary songs as part of their nighttime fitness activities. [Photo/CFP]
