Dechen Yudron, 27, is a native of Gyangze county, Xigaze of Tibet autonomous region. She majored in International Politics at Peking University and then got a master's degree in education policy from New York University (NYU). Coming back to Lhasa, Tibet, she set up her own education consulting company focusing on women's education, as her mentor from NYU advised her to "return to Lhasa, return to where you are needed most and use your knowledge to change the place".
