China is being highlighted at the Los Angeles Art Show in the US, as the guest country of the year. Twelve galleries from China's major cities including Bejing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong are presenting "China Today" through art.

The program, entitled "China Today" consists of an art exhibition, lectures and a film screening. The exhibition "Three Walkers-Crossing Over" features art installations and mixed media pieces created by three artists from Guangzhou. Born in the 1960s and 70s, Feng Feng, Qin Jin and Liu Qingyuan explore the complexity of the 21st Century's social and artistic transformation in southern China through their art work.

As the largest art fair on the western coast, the Los Angeles Art Show features diverse works by contemporary artists, old masters, established artists and rising talent. It draws more than 100 art galleries around the world each year. More than 40,000 visitors attended at the 2010 fair and art works worth 25 million dollars were sold. This year's art show runs until Tuesday.
