Lily Allen embarrassed by TV show

Lily Allen is embarrassed by her upcoming documentary TV show - which she claims has been "totally sensationalised".

The 25-year-old singer admits she cringes at the thought of her behaviour in the series 'Lily Allen: From Riches To Rags' - which follows the launch of her Lucy In Disguise fashion boutique and is due to start on British station Channel 4 next week.

Lily also claims comments she made in the programme which have been released, including remarks about her having the eating disorder bulimia, have been taken out of context.

She wrote on her twitter page: "We started filming it a year ago and I feel like a completely different person that the one that features in the programme. I'm inclined to ask you not to watch it cause quite frankly I am embarrassed. On the other hand I want you all to watch it so you can see how the press coverage of it has been totally sensationalised and quotes taken out of context. I should probably know better than to write this here. But I feel its the only place that my words don't get minced. That is all. (sic)"

Lily also believes she was naive when she agreed to appear in the series with her sister Sarah Owen, who is her business partner in 'Lucy In Disguise'.

She added in another tweet: "I don't think I got a fee, it was meant to be a show about sisters starting a business. I think I may have been a little naive."

Lily speaks about the loss of her first child with fiance Sam Cooper in the documentary.

The 'Who'd Have Known' singer - who lost her baby when she was six months pregnant last November - said: "It was a really long battle - and I think that kind of thing changes a person."

The show was initially shot between March and October 2010 and the camera crew then returned to continue filming her story after Lily suffered the tragedy.

Speaking about her eating disorder, Lily said: "There was a point last summer (2009) where I had an eating disorder, I used to vomit after meals. It is not something I am proud of. But I tell you what, a lot of people used to come up to me and tell me how great I looked.

"And I was on the cover of every magazine with them saying, 'Lily is looking amazing - look how much weight she has lost'."
