Renowned composer Meng Qingyun has released a series of songs dedicated to Huashan Mountain, one of China's most famous peaks.

The five songs, which describe the view of the mountain and the generations living near it, express Meng's love for the motherland.

"We hope people, especially the young generation, will understand more deeply the nation's prosperity, its history and its culture," the composer says. "Huashan Mountain contains lots of cultural and historical stories, which deserve to be explored."

Meng invited five famous singers, including Tan Jing, Zhang Ye and Lei Jia, to record the five songs, which have different styles and stories behind them.
