Alex Reid celebrates birthday with Chantelle

Alex Reid celebrated his birthday with a trip to the Wam Bam Club burlesque show at Cafe de Paris in London with Chantelle Houghton.

The 36-year-old cage fighter - who split from wife Katie Price after 11 months of marriage in January - spent the weekend enjoying romantic birthday surprises organised by reality TV star Chantelle including a stay in a "swanky" London hotel and a visit to the racy show.

He tweeted: "Wicked evening @WamBamClub Cafe de Paris, celebrating my birthday with @chantellehought thanks 4all my pressies (sic)"

The couple - who were first linked together in May - were spotted sharing a romantic kiss outside the club in the early hours of the morning.

Although Alex claims he is still wary about falling in love again after his disastrous marriage to Katie, he believes Chantelle - who suffered her own heartbreak after splitting from her Ordinary Boys singer spouse Samuel Preston - is the perfect person to help him get over his ex.

He told Britain's OK! magazine: "Honestly, I'm scared of love. Really scared. When I married ... who I married, that whole thing was craziness. I'm cautious. But everything feels natural and safe with Chantelle. She's given me the space to recover from my last relationship. I think she is in a similar place to me and that makes it easier. You meet someone sexy and nice, and the pain fades.

"It's not just physical. Well, it is. She's hot! I can't keep my hands off her! What the nation finds attractive, I find attractive. It's her inner beauty which is incredible."
