Geri Halliwell's ex determined to win her back

Geri Halliwell's ex-boyfriend has taken time off work to try and get back with her.

Banker Henry Beckwith is devastated over his split from the former Spice Girls singer - who reportedly dumped him because of their regular rows and his excessive partying - and is desperate to convince her to give him another chance.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Geri and Henry have been rocky for a while but were always deeply in love.

"Both parties have taken the split badly. Henry's not working at the moment and is doing all he can to restore Geri's faith in him."

A spokesman for Henry's company confirmed he was away from work, saying: "Henry's taken time off for personal reasons."

Another reason for the split between Henry, 32, and Geri, 39, is said to be his reluctance to have children or get married, leaving Geri - who has a four-year-old daughter, Bluebell Madonna, from a brief relationship with screenwriter Sacha Gervasi - to seek solace by heading to Cannes in the South of France.

She was spotted in the French town with Bluebell yesterday (10.08.11) shopping in a children and baby shop and then a shoe store.

She had earlier spent Saturday (06.08.11) celebrating her 38th birthday with friends in London, though Henry was noticeably absent from the party.
