Comment on "Man putting brakes on trafficking of children" (China Daily, Feb 15)

I am a supporter of the great work that "Zai Zai" has been doing for Chinese children and their families. He has made great sacrifices to help restore the lives of others. He deserves to be honored by the media.

But TV publicity and praises from various mainstream media do not provide "Zai Zai" with the type of support he really needs: money. He has devoted all his time to helping find children who have been ripped apart from their families and forced into begging. That has cut into his ability to maintain relationships, provide for his own family and hold a job to allow him to pay his bills.

To be able to help find the kidnapped children, he needs to feed and clothe himself, get enough rest to stay healthy and pay his bills. While he is out helping other people's families, wouldn't it be nice if people help him out, in turn, so that he could simultaneously support his own family financially?

I hope that his story in China Daily will prompt financially capable readers and fans of his work to support him financially so that he can carry on with his worthy cause.
