Liu Changyi was struck by meningitis at the age of 2 but its misdiagnosis robbed him of speech. He communicates through a computer and makes a living as a street vendor.

Liu Runze was born in Xinyang, Henan province in 1992. Liu, a colleague of Hu, also suffers from learning disabilities.

Both found that work in the restaurant has given them a sense of achievement and independence.
