EA said EA Sports' PGA Tour video game, scheduled to be released in June, will be named "Rory McIlroy PGA Tour" and feature the Northern Ireland golfer on its cover.
It will be the first time since 1998 that Woods has not been featured on the cover.
"I'm very proud and humbled to see my face and name on EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour," McIlroy said in a statement.
"This is a great honor and something I couldn't even dream of growing up playing the sport. I really hope people enjoy the game and I'm very glad I can be a part of it."
