Singapore food festival

Grand Millennium Beijing is celebrating Singapore Food Festival from Aug 1 to 12 with a sumptuous spread of Singapore satay, Singaporean-style Hainan roasted chicken rice, Bak Kut Teh, chili crab and cereal prawn, all specially prepared by its executive chef Charlie Chang from Singapore. Buffet dinner costs 256 yuan each person, with 20 percent off for Singaporean guests.

Japanese cuisine

Turkish flavor

A one-week Turkish food festival is launched at the Kempinski Beijing, in an effort to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and Turkey. Along with two guest chefs from Ankara, the culinary team of the hotel will present an array of authentic Turkish cuisine. Open for dinner at 6 pm until Aug 12.

French chef

The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street, in partnership with Air France invites Michel Portos, a two-Michelin star chef from Bordeaux, France. From Aug 27- Sept 3, Portos will present his signature dishes such as foie gras de canard, grilled sardines, turbot with sea urchin and more.

Old favorites in new form

Grand Hotel Beijing's mooncakes are based on some of the hotel's most famous Chinese dishes. Fillings include Buddha Jumps Over the Wall Soup as also egg yolk and lotus paste, and abalone. The more ordinary fillings include spicy beef and egg yolk, icy red bean paste, pine nut and jujube paste.
