NEW DELHI - A heavy exchange of fire took place between Indian and Pakistani troops across the Line of Control in Kashmir Saturday morning, reported Indo-Asian News Service.

The report quoted army sources as saying that Pakistani troops targeted Indian forward posts early Saturday morning, triggering the exchange of fire.

"It was at around 04:30 am in the morning when Pakistani troops opened fire at the forward Indian posts in the Krishnaghati sector," the report quoted the unnamed sources as saying.

"Indian troops retaliated in kind and the exchange of fire lasted for a little over two hours. There was no casualty on the Indian side," said the report.
