Traffic jam music to driver’s ears

A tourist drives on a "musical road" that plays China's national anthem when motorists reach 40 kilometers per hour. The 300-meter long road at an ecological park in Changge city, Central China's Henan province is reportedly the country's only "musical road". A mixture of high technology, physics, musical knowledge and mechanics were used to create the groves in the road that when driven over creates a melody through the vibration of the wheels. When driving in the opposite direction, the road plays Jasmine which Dion and Song Zuying sang together at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. A road in California that played the William Tell Overture to drivers has been paved over after complaints from local residents. The world's first musical road was created in Denmark in 1994 by two artists and quickly drew attention. [Niu Shupei/Asianewsphoto]
