Man donates 80,000 ml of blood in 18 years

A man who donated more than 80,000 milliliters of blood over the past 18 years has been honored for his inspiring charity, xinhuanet.com reported.

As well as donating blood, Wang Wenqing, the middle aged man who lives in Dongtai, Jiangsu province, also helped the poor with money from his salary. He helped elderly people with no children move into new houses as well as fund poor students so they could finish their schooling. He had donated more than 500,000 yuan ($76,000) for charity in last two decades.  

Wang does not have his own house and lives in the dormitory of his company. His daughter wears second-hand clothes which were provided by relatives and friends. 

Wang lived a poor life when he was young. He said: "To help other people is the belief of my life."
