The four-story-tall display 'If VI was IX' by artist Trimpin, made of more than 700 guitars and is an iconic art piece at the Experience Music Project (EMP) in Seattle, is displayed April 15, 2011. The EMP is one of the most extensive and exclusive collections of popular music memorabilia and art and has had more than 4.5 million visitors since the EMP opened in 2000. The EMP is housed in a futuristic $651 million dollar, 140,000 square foot Frank O. Gehry-designed building that is prominent in the Seattle skyline. [Photo/Agencies] |
