Guangzhou - The Guangzhou-based Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Lancaster University of Britain signed a memorandum of agreement on Wednesday for jointly establishing a university in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.

The university, named Guangwai-Lancaster University, will offer graduate and post-graduate programs and projects like Executive Doctorate in Business Administration, said Zhong Weihe, president of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.

The two sides will explore new mechanism and model in running the new university, which is expected to enroll about 600 students initially, he said.
