As Halloween approaches, Chinese businessmen have begun competing to sell products and services for the special day.

Masks of skulls, ghosts and zombies for Halloween costumes have become hot goods in supermarkets, retail stores and online shops. An online shop is selling a mask of former Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi, who died on Oct 20, 2011, 11 days before Halloween, finance.qq.com reported.

In a Shenyang market, Liaoning province, a mother said that some fake-blood products scared her and her daughter. "When I chose the pumpkin lanterns for my daughter I touched a man-made bloody human hand," she said, qq.com reported.

A shopping mall in Qingdao, Shandong province, plans to hold a parade for children, qingdaonews.com reported.

Shopping malls in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, also plan to hold activities for Halloween, such as pumpkin carving competition, children's parade, and some KTVs provide coupons for Halloween, news.66wz.com reported.

Lan Kwai Fong of Chengdu recruits local residents and tourists to perform as ghosts, and people who are interested are interviewed to test whether they have the ability to perform.
