China has passed Germany the as the largest importer of Bordeaux red wine in the world, the Bordeaux Wine Bureau said.
Last year, China’s imports of Bordeaux wine reached 53.8 million kilolitres, surging by 23 percent from a year earlier, according to the bureau.
Total exports of Bordeaux wine witnessed an increase of 16 percent year-on-year globally in 2012.
