Shanghai
Fragrance from Yi Long
The Cantonese restaurant Yi Long Court, of the Peninsual Shanghai, is introducing a fragrance bird-free menu for this epidemic spring. Executive chef Dicky To has come up with a menu of eight dishes combining classic herbs, exotic spices and perfumed flowers with premium ingredients. It includes diced beef shank with lavender and bitter almonds, baked cod slice with bacon and black mushrooms in cream sauce, panfried marble garde beef slices in clove and tomato sauce. It is believed that the aroma will tempt the suffering taste bud in the coming damp season. For those who don't buy the story, simply enjoy the floral gastronomic delights. The menu will last from through August. - Xu Junqian
