The Sohu.com food channel has given its 2013 best value restaurant award to Shanghai’s Fu’s Hong Kong Restaurant, and the best taste award to Hongtaiyang Yunan Restaurant’s posubao, a multilayered bun.
A total of 300 restaurants entered the food awards in the best value and best taste categories. One hundred eateries were chosen in each category. The restaurants are located in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Chengdu. Judges were from the China Cuisine Association and 10 gourmets.
A seminar was held after the awards ceremony on Jan 18 on good value food and health. Gourmets and industry experts think the best value comes from a good balance between price and health.
