Fancy dishes from appetizer, main course to dessert, along with five different kinds of wines for specific dishes, made an unrivalled experience for both tongue and eyes. With beautiful melodies from a piano, French redefined the concept of dining by turning it into an art. Deemed as classic, French food is never afraid of changing and innovation is the key to its long-time vitality.
French food and culture's unabated popularity lies in its worship of innovation, French Ambassador to China Maurice Gourdault-Montagne said during the banquet. "We French always love to keep updated with the new trends and use other country's cuisine for reference," he added.
Besides banquet, a series of themed events are being held at a dozen cities in China, participated by over 60 restaurants. Food lovers can go to any of those restaurants for a whole set of French meal. Five percent of their revenues will be donated to a NGO dedicated to health and environmental protection.
