CCA marks 30th in US

China Construction America praised in NY

In congratulating China Construction America (CCA) on its 30th anniversary in the United States, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo praised the results-driven construction and real estate services provider.

"CCA is a phenomenal success story," Cuomo told guests Monday at the Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center in New York. "This is not an easy business, considering the challenges of building in New York, but your projects are done on time and within budget."

Established in 1985, CCA is the North American and South American subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited (CSCEC). With revenue of approximately $130 billion in 2014, CSCEC is currently ranked No 1 on the ENR Global Contractors list and 37th on the Fortune Global 500.

With revenue of approximately $2 billion in 2014, CCA is the 32nd ranked contractor in the US.

CCA President Yuan Ning took time to acknowledge the contributions of CCA's parent company. "CSCEC has sustained us through the ups and the downs of the last 30 years," he said.

Noting that Chinese President Xi Jinping is about to embark on his visit the US, Ning expressed his hope for a productive trip. "On the eve of President Xi's trip, I wish momentum to the most important bilateral relationship in the world between China and the US."

Ambassador Zhang Qiyue, Chinese Consul General in New York, said CCA has developed an effective strategy for success in the US. "CCA understands the power of localization as most their workers here are Americans. The company also takes a long-term view on projects and also accepts its role to be a socially responsible company," Qiyue said.

CCA's work can be found throughout the greater New York City area, including the renovated Alexander Hamilton Bridge between Manhattan and the Bronx and the Yankee Stadium Station.

"CCA is emblematic of the great work China is doing," added Cuomo.
