A famous Chinese actress complained about the poor property quality and service in her community online, drawing huge attention from the public and the community's property developer as well.

Li Nian, who once starred in the hit series Dwelling Narrowness, complained in her micro blog about the poor quality of buildings and inferior property service offered in her Beijing residential community, the Gemini Grove.

Gemini Grove is a high-end residential community co-invested by Hong Kong's Kerry Properties and Beijing's Huayuan Property companies. Huayuan is said to own 20 percent of this project.

Li's remarks were noticed by property tycoon and Huayuan chairperson Ren Zhiqiang, who later disclosed on his micro blog that the actual owner of Li's apartment was surnamed Lin, and Lin was being sued by Gemini Grove for defaulting on his parking lot fees.

Ren said the case was heard in court on July 14.

Li responded that Brandon Lin, a partner with private equity firm SAIF Partners, is her husband, and the two married in Hong Kong last year.

Ren said on his micro blog Wednesday he is responsible for the quality of the building and ensuring the terms of the contract are being adhered to.
