Boao Forum for Asia annual meeting concludes

BOAO, Hainan - The 2011 annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) ended on Saturday in the scenic town of Boao in South China's Hainan province.

During the three-day meeting, more than 2,000 political and business leaders, scholars and media celebrities discussed a wide range of topics such as how to achieve inclusive growth, Asia's way to avoid middle income trap.

Chinese President Hu Jintao called for inclusive development in Asia on Friday at the opening ceremony of the meeting.

Among attendants of the meeting are Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, South African President Jacob Zuma, Republic of Korea (ROK) Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik, Spanish Prime Minister Jose Zapatero and Ukrainian Prime Minister Mikola Azarov.

BFA, founded by 28 nations in 2001, is a non-government and non-profit international organization. With an aim of pushing forward economic cooperation in Asia, and providing intellectual support for the region's sustainable development, it has become an important platform for discussions on key topics in Asia and the world.
