Hua made the remarks when asked about a video released by the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP) that claimed responsibility for a terrorist attack at a railway station in Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, on April 30, which left three people dead and 79 others injured.
"The video mentioned is still subject to verification," Hua said, adding that terrorist groups attempt to collude with internal and external forces by all means to launch attacks in Xinjiang or other places of China.
"(We) hope that everyone can see clearly the nature and intention of violent terrorist groups and support China's effort to combat terrorist activities, safeguard social order and stability, and protect people's lives and property," Hua said.
