Senior official in NW China under graft probe

BEIJING - A senior official in Northwest China's Gansu province is under investigation for suspected bribe taking, the provincial procuratorate announced on Wednesday.

Wu Jide, former deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and former party chief of the provincial association of industry and commerce in Gansu province, is suspected of taking bribes.
