Three dead, 18 injured as car hits crowd in China

NANCHANG - Three people died and 18 others, many of them students, were injured as a man drove his car into a crowd on Tuesday morning in East China's Jiangxi province, said government sources.
The accident occurred at 7:15 am on a road in Fengxin county, said a publicity official of the county.
The injured have been rushed to hospitals. The driver was held by police.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
