Fatboy Slim headlines the Great Wall Music Festival at Badaling on Saturday, with supporting DJs that include Mickey Zhang, Edmund, The Syndicate and many more. The British DJ and producer has produced a number of hits and worked with many big-name stars. Tickets are 400 yuan, including transport from Beijing.

Modern dance
Beijing Contemporary Dance Theater's modern dance, Haze, explores people's struggles for survival and their growing alienation amid rising industrialization. It is choreographed by the troupe's director, Wang Yuanyuan.

East-West exploration
Ten international artists are holding a group show, Almost Tangible, with more than 30 works, including oils, sculptures, installations, videos and photographs.
Featured artists include Hans Op de Beeck from Belgium, Leo Villareal from the United States and Thomas Ruff from German.
They aim to capture the differences in perspectives and artistic language between artists in the East and West, in the global context.

Art from Australia
The Today Art Museum's Our Land - Our Body exhibition presents art from the Warburton Ranges Community in Western Australia.
On display is a selection of 65 of the finest works of the Warburton Acrylic Collection and includes the participation of senior Ngaanyatjarra artists, art management trainees and community members.
The exhibition is an important part of Imagine Australia, the Year of Australian Culture in China.

Original musical
The musical Daughter of the Party is aimed at celebrating the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. It tells the story of a Communist woman soldier's heroic life fighting the enemy. Singers Sun Liying, Yang Hongji and Qin Lufeng play the lead roles.

Mozart preludes
Musician and conductor Xu Zhong will introduce preludes to several operas by Mozart for the weekend morning concert. Preludes were instrumental music pieces composed for and played at the start of operas, musicals and other theater productions.

Images from the past
Oil paintings by Hung Liu are on display at Elisabeth de Brabant Art Center. Liu is a Chinese-American contemporary artist born in 1948. Her paintings often make use of anonymous Chinese historical photographs, particularly those of women, children, refugees and soldiers. The latest series Concessions features early 20th century portraits and urban landscapes of Shanghai.

Hum along to the master of musical theater's best known show tunes and relive highlights from Broadway and West End hit shows at The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. The extravaganza features the talents of eight international performers' renditions of show-stopping songs from Cats, Phantom of the Opera and Evita. Australian director Stuart Maunder will take the audience through award winning stage sets, while Guy Noble guides a live orchestra through a musical odyssey steeped in memories.
