The gallery was launched on Friday with an inaugural exhibition titled Concealed Power. It displays dozens of paintings, sculptures and installations by Chinese artists, who explore the relation between the human body and objects.
Curated by Liu Libin, the exhibition gathers established artists including Liu Jianhua, Zhan Wang and Sui Jianguo. It runs through Jan 8.
Yang Art Museum, founded by the young Chinese collector Stella Wang, is dedicated to supporting Chinese contemporary art and reaching out to communities with diverse art-education programs.
