Actor Kai Ko detained for drug use

Taiwan-based Chinese actor Kai Ko, who rose to stardom for his role in You Are the Apple of My Eye, was detained in Beijing for illegal drug use, according to Beijing News.
As of the morning of Aug 18, rumors of Ko taking illegal substances went viral on China's social media. The thread said Jaycee Chan, son of Chinese kungfu superstar Jackie Chan, was also present at the scene.
Ko's manager Lin Yichen said Ko was on holiday and that she has been trying to contact him ever since the news broke. Further reports will follow.
