Four Chinese swimmers win medals at FINA World Cup

MOSCOW - The second day of the FINA Swimming World Cup wrapped up here on Wednesday, with four Chinese swimmers won medals in competitions.

In women's 200m butterfly, China's Gong Jie won the gold medal in 2:04.32, while South Korea's Choi Hye Ra placed second in 2:06.23 and the United States' Andrea Kropp finished third in 2:09.71.

In women's 100 individual medley, Canada's Erica Morningstar topped the competition with 1:00.57, while China's Liu Jing took second in 1:00.95. Russia's Ekaterina Andreeva placed third in 1:01.07.

China's Cheng Feiyi finished third in men's 200 backstroke with a 1:53.75, while USA's Michael Phelps led the first in 1:53.24.

Another Chinese swimmer Lu Ying finished second in women's 50m butterfly with 25.60.

On Tuesday, Chinese swimmers won three gold medals, one silver and one bronze in the first day's competitions.

The two-day Moscow competition is the third leg of the FINA Swimming World Cup. The first and second legs were held in United Arab Emirates' Dubai and Sweden's Stockholm.
