SECURITY ISSUES

Alice Wong (right), Canada's minister of state for seniors, signs an agreement on social security between Canada and China with Hu Xiaoyi, vice-minister of China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on April 2 in Ottawa. The agreement provides for continuity of social security coverage for employees sent by Canadian employers to work temporarily in China.
