Conjoined twin girls separated

Twin girls who were joined at the head smile after successful surgery to separate them in London, Sept 15, 2011. The 11-month-old girls, Ritag (L) and Rital (R) Gaboura, were fused at the skull, sharing a scalp while their brains remained separate. Most of the blood supply for both brains came through Ritag. They survived four complex operations at London's Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital and were given a one in 10 million chance of survival. The girls were born in Sudan. [Photo/CFP]
