BEIJING - He Guoqiang, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), asked the nation's centrally administered State-owned enterprises (SOEs) and financial institutions to tighten self-inspections in order to prevent corruption.

He, a Standing Committee member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, said at a meeting of SOE and financial institution officials that self-inspections are an effective way to supervise the actions of officials working in those organizations.

He urged SOE and financial institution officials to step up their supervision of the implementation of the central government's policies.
