Wuhan East Lake Comprehensive Bonded Zone started operation on Saturday. The zone, approved by the State Council in 2011 and located in the Wuhan East Lake National Innovation Demonstration Center, is the fist of its kind in Hubei province.

The zone is part of the province’s effort to enhance its economic strength.

Up to now, companies including Foxconn, Sinotrans and Prolto have started operation in the zone.
