China shares close higher Thursday

BEIJING - Chinese shares closed higher on Thursday as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.59 percent, or 11.83 points, to end at 2,006.1.

The Shenzhen Component Index was up 1.3 percent, or 100.38 points, to 7,804.11.
