Chinese shares close higher Friday

BEIJING -- Chinese shares closed higher on Friday, as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.02 percent, or 0.35 points, to end at 2,029.42.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.37 percent, or 29.68 points, to 7,961.47.
