BARCELONA -- Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology solutions provider, is showcasing its "Agile Network, Agile World" vision in Barcelona.
At the ongoing 2013 Gartner Symposium opened on Monday, Huawei has unveiled "agile service, agile management and agile evolution" as the motto for the next generation network in Europe.
An agile network, which is "intelligent, elastic, unified, convenient and open," will bring to customers a "change-on-demand" network capability, and provide "consistent" service experience for users, said a Huawei press release.
Leon He, president of Huawei's Enterprise Business Group in Western Europe, pointed to the "agile solution" as a way to address the challenges in building enterprise ICT infrastructure in a fast-changing environment.
He pointed to "insufficient service processing capability, fault location difficulties, and slow service responses" as the three major challenges facing most of the existing enterprise ICT network.
Huawei believes that the traditional technology-centric network must evolve to user experience-centric networks, which are defined as "Agile" networks by Huawei.
The Huawei Agile Network introduces the Software-Defined Networking architecture into campus networks for the first time, and provides the industry's first network provisioning for ubiquitous services, He said.
